About

Champlain Valley Dispensary and Southern Vermont Wellness are nonprofit businesses dedicated to providing high quality (organic and non organic) lab-tested, affordable cannabis to our patients. We aim to treat our patients with respect and educate them about pain management through cannabis treatments and alternative health practices as supplements to standardized medicine. We offer our patients a safe option versus the dangerous practices of the illegal drugs market. We seek to represent the best practices for the distribution, regulation and taxation of medical cannabis. We pledge to uphold and enforce the laws of Burlington and the State of Vermont.

Moldy schwag and asshole ownership—save your money for real meds.

CVD has a major PR problem. Their products are mediocre at best, way way overpriced and the place is run by a clueless jerk who just wants to be a “someone” in the cannabis industry. Money can’t buy you Street Cred and proof is on the pudding. Just ask Anyone who has worked here and left about upper management. The state of Vermont should be ashamed for letting this ogliopoly happen. Look around at the quality of meds in other states and you will see that sick people are the ones getting screwed here. Wake up Vermont!! Boycott CVD and stop making rich people richer!

Garbage in...Garbage out. Way too much $ for below average product.

I have been going to this dispensary for 3 years now. It is small, but growing. They have between 12 & 15 strains of flower, including high in CBD flower, tinctures, hash, keef and many other products. The also carry shake ($35 for 3.5 g, & $65 for 7g) Cannabis edibles, tea, coffee, toffee, cheese, and cheese nips (little orange crackers like cheese-its). They also carry T-shirts, sweatshirts, and various other Cannabis themed items. Some of the edibles I don't care for, but there are some that are excellent. Try the toffee! The staff is very knowledgeable, and friendly. They also have delivery options. Champlain Valley Dispensary is continuing to grow. Some may think the prices are too high, but compared to getting it from other sources, the prices are reasonable, and they do have some financial discounts. Before I started going to the dispensary, decent quality Marijuana off the street, was between $60-$70 for 3.5g. Lower quality Marijuana is between $40 - $55. For a while, getting an appointment in under 2 weeks was tough, but if you made your next appointment before you left the dispensary it helped some. They are now open 6 days a week, and have two stations. Many times you can get an appointment within a day or two. It also has become easier to get a permit here in Vermont. Considering Vermont is one of the more conservative states, we are lucky to have CV Dispensary. Lauren

The prices are too high. Some of the products are mediocre. They are changing their butter formulations, which I thought were perfect because someone somewhere thinks they are too strong. Pretty mediocre overall, but I've seen some comments in other reviews that don't match my experience. The hash is too expensive and mediocre, but I have not seen the price quoted by another reviewer. Bud is too expensive, but I've never seen $65 per 8th. Most of the time, I pay $90 per quarter. And, while the comment about VT oncologists is outside of a review of this place, I've found it to be completely untrue. My medical oncologist has signed twice with no hesitation.

Place sucks. Shitty strains, sub par quality, ridiculous prices. Getting an "appointment" to get your meds is a complete hassle. Seems like upper management has no clue how to run a dispensary or grow cannals for that matter.. The staff seem great but the flower product is a complete joke. In the real world this place would go under, but here in Vermont it miraculously surives...btw the mad hatter teas and coffee products are hilarious for what they are. Way too pricey for instant coffee and crappie teas at an unmeasured dose. Grow your own or Go elsewhere and don't let CVD own your card and monopolize the state!

Ive lived in chittenden county my entire life. I was given an option to grow my own or utilize shane lynns idea of quality medicine......i choose my own. The indigenous natives of our area(my family) have done it right since time in memorium. CVD is the EPITOME of why mmj programs across the country have fallen flat for patients. Well shane is screwed because ive had enough!!!!! If i have to be an OUTLAW to provide my neighbors ,friends, patients who require Real relief im gonna help them. This is ridiculos and NOT THE VERMONT WAY!!!

I also changed my dispensary at the end of my first year with the card, because the CVD was so abominably bad. The products are, simply put, overpriced and ineffective. $66 for a GRAM of subpar hash, are you kidding? And most of their bud is dry and crispy. I bought one package of "Cali Orange" and when I got home I noticed it had a harvest date of five months previous to when I bought it! The bud was brownish and crumbly, with hardly any potency at all. I tried to bring it back for a refund, showing them the harvest date (right there in black & white), and they got defensive, saying it was a "typo" on the package (!) I'm not even joking! As a medical patient with limited income, it was frustrating!

A little know fact- Vermont oncologist will not sign any paperwork... so I was pretty excited when my nurse practicioner did. However, if what you are expecting is welcoming arms...your not going to get it at CVD. You get a 10 minute limit. You can't see or smell any of it. They can't tell you what they think. Its $65 an 1/8, and its schwag. A "grower" is usually there but I've never seen the same one twice, and only one was friendly. The edibles are dried brownies. There is no parking. This is obviously a work in progress. They can and need to do better. I changed my dispensery location at the end of the year.
