AllBud’s Recipes for Turning Thanksgiving Into Danksgiving

Thanksgiving is a week away and we know everyone is planning for the big feast! Whether you love to cook, like Kristin or hate the kitchen like Alli, Danksgiving recipes can add a little something extra to make the experience even more enjoyable for adults or medical marijuana patients. We’ve picked our favorite three Danksgiving recipe based on ease of preparation and deliciousness. We know that when ingesting cannabis, it’s good to pace yourself, so we strategically selected n appetizer, a side dish, and a dessert for Danksgiving recipes.

Appetizer: EatYourCannabis.com’s “Canna-Caprese Salad”

All you need for this light and delicious plate is 3 medium tomatoes, 8 ounces of fresh mozzarella, ½ cup of fresh, torn basil leaves, 2 and ½ tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper, and ¼ Cup of CannaOil.

Side Dish: Kristin’s Savory THC Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cannabutter, softened
  • 10 cups unseasoned dry bread cubes
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups chopped celery
  • Sage, lots of Sage
  • A Dab of Salt and Freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 1 can low-sodium chicken broth, if more liquid is needed just use water


Heating Instructions: pre-heat to 420 degrees

In a large sauce pan on medium-high heat, add the butter, onion, pepper, and celery together. Stir frequently for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Add the dab of fresh sage and salt and pepper and let it sauté for an additional minute.

Pour the sautéed vegetables over the bread cubes in a large mixing bowl and stir. Add the eggs and broth and mix ensuring that the bread is cubes are evenly covered.

Place the mixture in a 9x13 baking pan that has been coated with butter or spray. Bake for 42.0 minutes or until the stuffing is browned and crusty.

This recipe is pretty simple to prepare despite it being ranked a medium in difficulty level and once out of the oven you get to treat yourself for a Danksgiving well done. You’ll need the basic pumpkin pie ingredients: 16 ounces of canned pumpkin, 2 beaten eggs, ¼ cup of sweetened condensed milk, 1 teaspoon molasses, 1 teaspoon nutmeg, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ¼ cup light brown sugar, an unbake pie crust plus ¼ cup of melted cannabutter.
