Granddaddy Purple Marijuana Strain

Very relaxing and happy high. It's a little trippy but more about the full-body relaxation. Good classic indica-dominant strain. This one has interesting flavors which to me sometimes seem sweet and berry-like, and other times is closer to something savory like peppers or even horseradish!

really hits the spot for any sleepless nights. I highly recommend this one for ptsd

GDP rocks! The Indica experience is phantasmic, even cerebral. Mind journeys abound...Just like the great original landrace Indica from Afghanistan, but with phenomes that are magically berry and cinnamon.

After smoking this it definitely gave a euphoric feel. I have trouble sleeping, and though it’s a relaxing bud, it didn’t help me sleep. Seems good for pain too.

Words can't express how great this strain works for my pain and my mind.

Classic strain that is good but not a five-star for my taste/needs. I'm sure plenty of folks will disagree... but to each their own. GDP does have a nice incense/spicy flavor and is a smooth smoke, but it feels like it's just missing that extra 5-10% that would change my thinking. Don't get me wrong, it's very good. But there are just so many other great indica strains and indica leaning hybrids out there, that you can do better for pain relief and/or as a sleep aid.

This not only brought on a mild euphoria, it made me forget my arthritis which is priceless

This is my go-to Indica. One toke during the day makes me feel less pain, happy and not sleepy. More is great for sleep. But it has cerebral nuances that make me feel creative and relaxed at the same time. I also must say that my favorite cartridge's strain is GDP, hands down, and that can take you to the moon!

GDP has a hard hitting body high that leaves me extremely relaxed, care free, and happy, while also free of any aches and pains. Good for watching TV , movies, or just chilling out. Absolutely no paranoia or anxiety

Coined my user name thanks to GDP ! This strain knocks me out cold every time so its great for insomnia BUT My wife on the other hand says sex is incredible with it and its pretty obvious ! Ugh what a let down honestly lol. Maybe,y tolerance is to high these days... 33 been smoking since 18.... i’ve just read such great things about the strain and I got some very good looking flower and rather pleasant smelling purple sour smell. The actual high was quite a letdown though,,, no special euphoria of the mind or the body and it actually took more than a couple tokes to get me feeling faded at all. ✌️ some of the apparent classics just don’t live up to the hype these days.

Taste taste taste thats what this strain is all about. Its a heavy indica and there's plenty of those available. The taste is what sets it apart from others. The buds are typically dense and big. I had a batch one time that were 7gr nuggets lol just clubs. Love it and always have some on hand.

The 2021 version of a timeless classic is indeed that much better than just a few years back. Frosty multi color purple nugs taste like you'd expect. Be prepared to sit down after this one. Get it if you can find it. A winner every time.

I really am more of a Sativa or Sativa Dominant toker, so Granddaddy Purple is not my preferred high. Also, even though it’s an iIndica Dominant Hybrid, it doesn’t work for sleep (at least not for me). Plus, it kinda bums me out during the day, and has little to no effect at night. My favorites so far are Pineapple Express and Lemon Haze!!

A good tasting and long lasting indica. Kinda spacey at first and you can feel the indica effects after a minute or two... after I smoked a couple couple of rips from my bong I made another bowl mixed with some good indica based hash...

This stuff has a unique and wonderful taste, it definitely deserves all 5 stars here. The batch I had here in AR was grown by Osage and they did a great job, I just wish they were more consistent.

It's smooth with a great flavor. It's a very clean high. Its relieved all my stress. All of my muscles are relaxed. I definitely recommend this beautiful flower.

A norcal classic. and a beloved staple. sweet candy grape berry notes with hints of earthy spice. the effects are heavy relaxation and euphoric uplift with a spaciness. a great night time or evening strain. Does wonders at 356F (180c) vape temps. Great flavor, great effects. Def a heavy eyelid strain!

This is my all time favorite, perfect amount of euphoria and body relaxation, enough to put me down but not fall asleep. I use it during day and evening. It's like gold.

This is one of my very favorite strains of all time. A true classic! The aroma when you open a fresh bag of GDP is a treat to the senses, which just begs you to break off a chunk of sweet sticky, and blaze it up. As you do, the flavor is sweet, heavy, and just plain delicious, as the high immediately brings an overflowing sense of relaxation, and euphoria. Grand Daddy Purp is a true O.G. of the weed world, and has totally earned it's spot!

I love reading reviews when people say smoking indica buds will have you on your ass, but as a true stoner these are the strains im always hunting for. A lot of Sativas produce a nice body high but intensify the feeling of anxiety. I've always used the saying, "Do the drug, dont let the drug do you". If you suffer from Pain, Anxiety, Depression, Sleep Apnea, Loss of appetite, etc. then you're looking for a strong indica strain. I like Girl Scout Cookies because of the potency and strong effects. And again, if you smoke and then get lazy or pass out, then you're smoking too much, or you're just a lightweight

I traveled to Denver, CO a few months ago and purchase some GDP and I must say this strain is RWS- Real World Shit. This strain is no joke if you abuse it you will lose the battle! GDP will place you on your rear for sure. I will say this, if you’re going to do some GDP hit it before going to bed because this is not a day time strain. Last note, only take two hits and vape it for better enjoyment.

Granddaddy Purple is powerful medicine for pain, neuropathy, and insomnia. It is a long lasting strain! It starts off with sativa effects but totally goes indica and will put you to sleep. Be careful if you drink with this strain as it will wipe you out! Your not getting much done with this strain. And finally it does have some slight paranoia. I would say the strain I had was 70/30 indica dominant.

Very effective for medical use. I prefer it as my smoke of choice at bedtime. I also found that a long slow cure at a lower than typical humidity (about 57%) makes it very smooth and really increases its taste and smell.

This strain is extremely my shit. The pain relief and the feel good vibes...amazing evening high. Buds are littered with amber and white trichomes and the smell is heavenly.

This is an Indica that does all it is supposed to do. With parents like Purple Urkle & Big Bud this is no surprise. My buds had some purple tint to it. The smell & taste was a mild grape/fruit flavor. The inhale/exhale was nice & smooth for me. PEACE

One of my fave strains, have tried two separate batches and buds were big, so dense and very purple under light. Had a sweet sugary aftertaste and great relaxing body high. You will be hungry and raid the fridge.

I've been using Gdp for several months for insomnia. I've always had a problem getting to sleep and then staying asleep, which results in a lot of morning fatigue. I used to have to take a mid-morning nap almost every day. I also have sleep apnea and I use a CPAP machine for that, but I still normally don't get a healthy night's sleep. But since using Gdp before going to bed I'm getting much better sleep every night. It's very relaxing in both mind and body. I use it with a vaporizer. I highly recommend it. (I'm not including anything about color, flavor or aroma because I think that's unimportant compared to effects) (Note: AllBud is showing Gdp as a 70/30 indica/sativa hybrid. It is not; it is a full indica)

Believe the hype, it's a great strain, acts like indica on body, while brain is still intact enough to stay awake. Or if you wanna sleep, works as well. Its an awesome indica leaning hybrid. Super chill. Perfect for rainy days...and it looks beautiful. The taste is a bit of letdown, but the effects...after all, it's why we smoke. GDP is legendary for a reason. Try it!

I'm aware people have a "love/hate relationship with purple cannibis. I'm a big fan of this strain due to the ability to really relax me and put me to sleep within an hour without the use of prescription sleep meds (trazodone). Because of GDP, I've managed to kick my 10+ year dependency of taking 3+ pills of 50mg trazodone every night for sleep. With GDP, I sleep through the night and wake up ready to go. No more drowsiness and crankiness. Even my wife thinks I'm a different person since discovering this strain or cannibis in general to help my insomnia. Highly recommend

Classic, classic strain. I don't do a lot of "recreational" smoking of this one, but I vape a couple of draws almost nightly before bed. Easily puts me down and out for at least 6-7 hours, which for an iffy sleeper like me is pretty freaking amazing. Wish I could bring some when I'm traveling outside Cali, but yep, that'll have to wait.
