Colombian Gold Strain

Sativa Dominant Hybrid 75% Sativa / 25% Indica

THC: 19%

Colombian Gold is some seriously old-school marijuana. A close relative of the even more famous Acapulco Gold, this strain was born in the Santa Marta mountains of Colombia and exploded across the United States in the 1960s. Its popularity has since faded dramatically, but it remains an effective tool for treating muscle spasms and chronic pain. THC levels in this strain reportedly test above 19%, so it's a relatively potent choice for patients seeking a calming, energizing, clear-headed cerebral high that can also be used to treat anxiety and depression. CBD levels are much harder to come by, though Colombian Gold has been used to crossbreed strains that are high in that cannabinoid. Still, without more reliable information, this strain shouldn't be used as the sole medication for conditions that respond to CBD, including seizure disorders. Colombian Gold is a near-pure sativa (sativa/indica ratio of at least 75:25), the result of an original Colombian landrace strain. It delivers a smooth but tangy tea flavor and a Skunky aroma with notes of lemon and lime. The buds are covered in visible crystals. Though well past its prime, Colombian Gold still sells relatively well in Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, and Arizona.

Uplifting high, nice lemon citrus taste. I smoked this and felt very creative, like I wanted to paint or play my guitar. Definitely a up and at it type of strain, first hit from the Bong left me breathless straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥.

I here thc levels were in single digits in the 70s. Is this the same columbian gold.

Wow! i had one ounce of this, one time, back in 1975. I thought it was just a one-off thing, but apparently others have smoked it, as well. This was without a doubt, the best day-to-day weed I EVER had. The true mark of a real good outdoor grow is the color of the seeds. Just like another reviewer said, the weed was a blonde color, and the seeds were nearly black! Black, or very dark brown seeds, with a lot of black spotting are always the best weed. Occasionally, you'll actually find some green weed with the dark, speckled seeds. And that, will probably be the best green weed you ever smoke. I can't imagine what I would be willing to pay to get my hands on some authentic Colombian Gold!

I smoked this everyday when I was a high school senior in Bogota. Those were the best days of my life. I only lived there for a year and then moved back to N.Y. But, that was the only variety I knew. I never laughed so much. Good times that I miss. I'm going to find out asap where I can buy this in Florida.

I am an American visiting in Bogota, Columbia. i am here to do further research on behalf of a United States non'profit organization intent to purchase some land and grow this Sativa Dominant Hybird...

does anybody know where i can get colombian gold seeds from in Australia?

Found this in 1976. Best weed strain ever for me. Exciting, sexually stimulating for whatever you want to do, uplifting in mood, energizing and great body high with no down side when effects trailing off. All leaf back then. Many leaves had a gold tinge color to them. Found it 2 years ago out here in Central Oregon but never seen since.

My parents smoked it in the 70's,and i heard about it in the early 90's when i started smoking.finally got some last week at fireleaf in OKC.Dark and light green with dark red hairs, somewhat earthy and floral notes when you break it up.pretty stoney stuff i must say.leaves a cheesy grin on my face and a fuzzy head.

been smoking since 72 and C.G was only of my fav's just the color was awesome , I have not bought some from world of seeds and got them sent to me in Canada, these babies are coming up very nice , I cannot wait to try it ,It;s been over 40 yrs and now i will once again smoke some old school , and yes most people do not even realize that almost all the weed these days came from the old school strain, Panama red , C.G Alcopolco Gold, and on and on.

Columbian is in almost every hybrid on the market today.
